Partical The Twelfth Night

It's been a while since my last blogging... and I have been quite busy, especially for the Korean holiday Chuseok. Chuseok is Korean thanksgiving... thanking the ancestors for the good harvest. Anyways, after the holiday, a friend of mine who works at a theater company gave me free seats to a musical in Daehangro. Daehangro is a town where a lot of small sized theaters are located. 

The musical I watched with a friend and cousin was Partical: The Twelfth Night. Partical is for Party + Musical. I actually never read Shakespeare's The Twelfth Night... so I actually didn't have any expectations and it was for free so why not?

The musical was about an hour and a half and a very small stage with about 50 seats. I was actually expecting different actors since I didn't really check the schedule, 2 of them were Kpop singers... but none of them were on that night. BUT I actually enjoyed the actors on that night since they were really veteran musical actors. 

The synopsis? well... to make it short (will be using the names of actual book) Orsino and Olivia are owners of night clubs. Orsino is in love with Olivia but Olivia doesn't care about anything in the world, especially men after her brother passed aways 3 months prior. Viola and Sebastian are twin, due to their father's debt and his passing away, they are separated and are followed by the people his father has debt to. Andrew is a rich foreigner in love with Olivia's aunt/uncle, he wants to marry her. Orsino puts up a ad looking for a adviser, a male experienced in love so that he can help with Olivia. Viola changes into man and falls in love with Orsino. Olivia falls in love with "Sebastian" who is actually Viola... and the story goes on.....

I actually loved the show. The music was fun and the singing were great. The male lead actor had really thick, low toned voice... which I love.... and Andrew's character was really funny. It made you feel like you were in a club, since they made you interact with them. 

I would love to watch the show again, maybe with different actors this time. :D
